Congregation B’nai Shalom of Buffalo Grove serves the specific needs of traditional Jews in Chicago’s northwest suburbs but also welcomes a range of levels of observance. Our goal is to fulfill the spiritual needs of our members, to inspire a growing knowledge, understanding, and practice of Judaism in everyday life.

B’nai Shalom of Buffalo Grove offers a range of educational, religious, and social programs and provides support to members of our community celebrating simchas and dealing with challenges and loss.

Stay Safe, Stay Home

Due to concerns about the COVID-19 virus, many public activities at our Shul have been suspended until further notice.

However, we are meeting every night, except Shabbat, for Mishnah study.  From Sunday through Thursday, we meet at 7:30 pm and on Saturday nights, we meet after the conclusion of Shabbat and begin with Havdalah.

Additionally, there are social events, Rabbi-led classes and discussion and any Congregant volunteer can offer a d’var Torah.

Please check your emails for notice of meeting subjects, times and login information.

We are slowly and safely reopening the Shul, with services and activities for those who chose to participate.  Social distance, masking, and other safety and health precautions are being taken.  Please be patient as we get through this as a community.

Shul Office Hours

The shul office is staffed on Monday, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm; Wednesday, from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm; and Friday from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. There is an answering machine available 24/7 so you can leave a voice message or contact us and you will be contacted with answers to your questions and inquiries.
